A Frieren Mug For Every Season: Winter, Spring, and Beyond
February 5, 2026The world of Frieren is soft and peaceful and so is my new poster I needed something to go in my room and I didn’t want it to be screaming anime, I want my area to be peaceful and fitting for a having a calm Frieren poster. I didn’t want my school and anime posters to clash I had a specific look in mind.
I learned that different types of frames can compliment and clash with your poster and my poster is primarily made with soft blues golds and neutrals so I decided to get a light coloured wood frame as opposed to a black frame. A black frame would clash and break a calm look in the area.
How a framed poster looks can change with poster placement I hung my frame at about 57 inches This makes it look centered and as if I have put more thought into it. If you are creating a meditation space put it at the point your gaze rests when you are seated If you are making a cozy reading space it would be a gentle looking focal point.
There’s no question as to whether or not lighting has an impact on the mood Rather than risking it getting direct sunlight and potentially fading colors I arranged it so that it stays out of direct sunlight, I also brought in a warm LED floor lamp, Soft and warm lighting can create a beautiful golden hour effect on scenes especially when you use a matte scene print, and without direct sunlight, the print won’t have any glaring reflections.
Negative space is also a part of the serenity I intentionally left space around the wall poster and I did not fill up all of the space, The corner is complete with just a small plant a linen throw and a side table.
If you have a small area and are trying to work within that space I recommend testing the arrangement out by using some tape to create a poster-sized rectangle on the wall It gives you a better sense of proportion and spacing.
A Frieren poster doesn’t need the distraction of a big gallery wall, With a bit of careful thought one piece placed with a soft frame some gentle lighting and surrounded by simple textures can change a small space and create a perfect little retreat.
